Among the kidnapped that Aerbax has turned into “Prodigal Children” the one with the most potential power would be a Prodigal Human, akin to Martine. Dojiro Sangi, a simple vendor in Candeth Keep, is the target of this goal dreamt up by Aerbax. You must journey into a hidden lab near Stonehold to free Dojiro Sangi before he fully becomes a Prodigal Child. Begin by heading to the Hidden Laboratory at 67.2n 27.1w, West of Stonehold.

From the drop you will be heading down the Northern passage and simply keep straight ignoring any side rooms until you come to a T; either passage will bring you to the first boss: A Virindi called the Lab Guardian.

Drops: Lab Guardian’s Key
Cohorts: Stompers (Tuskers) and any dragged Blight Hollow Minions (Hollows)
Uses: Slashing damage and various war spells with vulns to match

Take the Lab Guardian down and pick up the key it was carrying. Use it to unlock the Lab door to the North. There will be 2 more doors to unlock so save that key. Continue on straight ignoring any side passages and you’ll come to the second Lab Door being guarded by some of those War Mages. Unlock the door and continue sticking left until you reach Martinate Hollow Minions and from then on stay straight until you hit the third Lab Door being guarded by Schisms. Unlock it and then stick left to reach the chamber where Dojiro Sangi is being held captive by Demerax the Sculptor.

Dojiro Sangi mutters incoherently.
Demerax the Sculptor's laughter echoes along the walls.
Demerax the Sculptor's voice echoes through the area, "You cannot escape 'Asheron's Protection', little Sangi. Even death will not stop you from becoming my Master's beloved Child."

He’s on a 5 minute timer and each person will need to kill him to loot the potion and message shard. Take him down. The tormented form of Dojiro Sangi may even strike out at you with a fire war spell called Essence’s Fury. Try not to jump as the central platform is only connected to the surrounding walls by pitch-black cat walks which make it hard to jump across without falling into the pit below. A tactic that is fun to use would be to lure the spawn to fall off the ledges into the shadowy pit.

Demerax the Sculptor screams in rage as he dies!

Dojiro Sangi's eyes come into focus on you, and a look of wild desperation fills his ruined face, beneath the mask.

Dojiro Sangi's voice changes, taking on a calm, almost metallic quality.

Dojiro Sangi tells you, "You will not harm my Prodigal Child. He is your salvation, your race's chance at Enlightenment. He is one of my beloved vessels, our Future! Leave him be, it is only the pains of rebirth that he feels. He will unify us all!"

~ Observations and Instructions: Dojiro Sangi ~

Master will be pleased. Demerax has done as Master instructed, with Master's potion and Master's most prized experimental subject. Master warned us of the delicacy of the process. The potion is so powerful, Master said, that an indelicately applied dose could undo Master's work of synthesis, or simply destroy the meat-body of the Child. Such care was taken, and Master's timing is so precise, no delay or setback could be permitted in the development of this vessel. Demerax is pleased to be so trusted.

Thrilling, to have had such time and leisure to examine this singular "Human" creature, spawned through horrifying and messy biological practices by other Humans. We have examined this creature inside and out, always remembering to numb or knock out the creature, per Master's instructions. Of course, first we experimented upon the subject itself, briefly, without the numbing - to observe the reactions caused by "pain", the strong stimulation of the Human's neurological apparatus.

After the procedure was completed to Master's exact instructions, Demerax verified that the vessel was completely and properly invested. But the vessel retains a will of its own. It resists and begs and pleads in its undisciplined, viral language. It is more tenacious than any of the other subjects that Master spoke of, but Master warned us to expect this, and Demerax was prepared.

Master told us that Humans had posed such a threat to the Singularity with their own singular wills that they caused the schism between the Singularity and the Master's former comrades. Demerax also remembers the story of the Human called Martine, altered with cruder techniques and less complete understanding by Master himself, before Master broke free of the Directive and severed from the Quiddity. Because of the singularity of the Human will, Master thinks this one will be the most promising of the Children.

Demerax feels jealousy towards this cousin, blessed with so much of Master's care and attention and essence. But Demerax is fascinated and eagerly awaits the occasion when the Child will be released upon its former comrades. There will be so much to observe.
